App business processes describe the logic of the app. For example, for the Invoice app, you can create an approval process to describe all the stages of invoice approval in your company.
If an app business process does not have links to processes and apps of other workspaces, you can export it to a file or to Store365.
Modeling app business processes is similar to modeling global processes.
How to create a new process?
Please note that only users included in the Administrators group can model, configure and edit business processes.
Click the gear icon next to the App's name and select Business Process.
You will see a page with the list of App business processes.
To create a new business process, click + Process.
Fill in the fields in the provided window:
- Name - specify the name of the process as it will be displayed in the list of app processes.
- Code - the code is used for working with API. It is generated automatically but you can edit it if necessary.
- Parent Folder - specify the folder where the process will be located. To create a new folder, go to the page with the list of business processes and click "+ Folder".
After filling in all the fields, click Create.
The process designer page will open where you can model the process in the same way as a global business process.
Note that the context of the process already includes a variable that stores the app.
After you have created the process, you can configure it to start with buttons on the app page and the create and view pages of app items.
Also, you can launch the process by clicking the green button in the top left corner of the page. To do so, go to Settings in the top right corner of the Designer page and check the Start process via the "Create" menu box.
